  • Carry out impartial and timely investigations into employee complaints while protecting confidentiality.
  • Coach managers on how to handle delicate employee relations situations.
  • Monitor ER patterns and trends, and suggest preventive actions that improve the employee experience.

Disciplinary and performance management

  • Own the disciplinary process from start to finish, including documentation, fact-finding, and hearings.
  • Support managers with performance improvement plans, termination processes, and other corrective measures.
  • Ensure disciplinary actions remain fair, consistent, and aligned with company policy and employment law.
  • Train managers and leaders on proper documentation and on handling performance and behavioural issues effectively.

Policy compliance and records

  • Review and refresh employee relations policies, disciplinary frameworks, and grievance handling procedures as needed.
  • Make sure all records and actions are prepared to be audit-ready and comply with internal policies and local labour laws.
  • Maintain secure and confidential files for ER and disciplinary cases.

Business partnering

  • Develop strong working relationships with function heads to understand team dynamics and business challenges.
  • Advise leaders on organisational design, workforce planning, and employee engagement approaches.
  • Help business units navigate change initiatives while keeping people-related risks under control.

Employee experience and culture

  • Encourage a workplace culture built on fairness, respect, and inclusion.
  • Support engagement surveys, action plans, and initiatives that strengthen trust and retention.

Qualifications and skills

The ideal candidate should hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline, along with 3 to 4 years of HR experience. The role calls for strong knowledge of employee relations, grievance management, workplace investigations, disciplinary processes, labour laws, statutory requirements, and HR compliance.
