About the Role

A professional services firm based in New York, NY is seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to become a key collaborator within their People team. This position involves partnering with stakeholders across the Americas to offer expert HR guidance, manage employee relations and support various HR initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted business partner and internal advisor on all human capital-related matters for stakeholders throughout the Americas region.
  • Provide insights and data-driven analysis on workforce issues through consistent reporting and data evaluation.
  • Support the People Director and HR team on international projects and initiatives.
  • Oversee and manage complex employee relations cases including disciplinary actions, conflict resolution, and leave of absence administration.
  • Collaborate with Legal and People Operations to ensure compliance with employment laws and administrative protocols.
  • Conduct exit interviews and analyze findings to address retention strategies.
  • Facilitate and administer performance review cycles including mid-year and year-end appraisals; proactively identify and escalate performance concerns.
  • Coach managers and leadership teams to foster a continuous, constructive feedback culture.
  • Lead talent review meetings and succession planning for critical roles.
  • Manage the annual bonus allocation process by educating involved parties about decision timelines and criteria.
  • Coordinate with Benefits team to ensure effective delivery of employment benefits according to contractual agreements.
  • Work with local offices to maintain compliance with relevant employment laws and health & safety requirements, recommending necessary adjustments.
  • Support immigration matters for employees in partnership with People Operations and external immigration counsel.
  • Collaborate with internal and external recruitment resources to identify and present top candidates, ensuring leaders receive sufficient information to make informed hiring decisions.

Qualifications and Experience

  • At least seven years of relevant experience within a professional services environment is preferred.
  • Knowledgeable about US HR policies, with familiarity in Latin American regions considered a plus.
  • Expertise in employee relations and foundational employment law.
  • Experience managing projects end-to-end is an advantage.
  • Proficient at stakeholder management, particularly maintaining productive partnerships with senior leadership.
  • Consultative approach with strong influencing abilities across organizational levels.
  • High competency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
