Job description
Role Overview
Pro-Play Games is hiring a Human Resources Associate to help run everyday HR activities, support hiring coordination, and keep policies, records, and internal processes organized. The role works closely with the HR & Operations Manager and is important for keeping HR systems accurate, onboarding new team members, and handling administrative and logistical support.
This position is based in Florida only. Candidates must currently live in the state and should be prepared to attend occasional in-person meetings, training, onboarding sessions, company gatherings, or operational support tasks when needed and with advance notice. Applicants outside the Miami area will generally work remotely. Candidates in the Miami area may sometimes be asked to provide on-site support at the store for onboarding, operational help, or special projects, again with advance notice.
The schedule is flexible and may be adjusted around academic commitments, availability, and business needs. The company aims to support students whenever possible while still ensuring adequate training and operational coverage.
Key Duties
- Act as a first contact for employee questions about policies, timekeeping, and general HR procedures.
- Walk employees through HR processes and refer more complex issues to HR leadership.
- Coordinate new-hire onboarding, including paperwork, system access, and orientation support.
- Handle offboarding tasks such as documentation and system changes.
- Keep employee files accurate, current, and confidential.
- Monitor compliance items such as I-9s, training logs, and policy acknowledgments.
- Assist payroll coordination by checking timekeeping and employee data for accuracy.
- Support performance review cycles and other HR initiatives.
- Help communicate HR process updates internally.
- Improve HR workflows, documentation, and recordkeeping systems.
Qualifications and Expectations
- Strong organization skills with careful attention to detail.
- Professional communication skills when speaking with employees at all levels.
- Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- Preferred familiarity with HR software or payroll/timekeeping tools.
- Comfort creating and maintaining internal documents such as SOPs, process guides, basic infographics, or handbook updates; training will be provided.
- Willingness to help refine HR workflows and documentation processes.
