Job description
Main purpose of the role
Working under the general guidance of the Talent Acquisition Coordinator, this position focuses on identifying, attracting, and presenting qualified candidates to fill manufacturing openings across all departments. The role also involves screening applicants and coordinating interviews with the company personnel involved in the hiring process.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with senior recruiters and supervisors to define the candidate profile for open positions and build sourcing approaches that are timely and cost-effective.
- Coordinate pre-employment medical exams with the medical team and arrange psychological assessments when required for the vacancy.
- Manage the recruitment flow end to end, including resume review, interview scheduling, interview execution, and the creation of effective job advertisements using different sourcing channels such as print media, the internet, and social networks.
- Track newly hired employees during their first month to identify possible reasons for early attrition, answer job-related questions, and guide new team members through their probation period.
- Recommend actions that help reduce absenteeism, turnover, and voluntary resignation among hourly production employees.
- Work with the Staffing Manager to continuously develop and implement process-improvement initiatives in recruitment and hiring.
- Review and confirm candidate background checks and references.
- Provide general office support and assist with additional tasks as needed.
- Carry out the health and safety duties assigned to this position.
- Support vacancy communication and internal communication activities related to talent acquisition.
Education and experience
A bachelor's degree is required. Prior experience of 1 to 3 years as a recruiter is preferred.
