Job Summary
The Human Resources Recruiting Sourcer plays a key role in building and nurturing talent pipelines that support broader hiring goals. This position is centered on proactive candidate discovery, relationship-building, and the use of creative sourcing methods to attract strong candidates for priority and difficult-to-fill roles. The sourcer works closely with recruiters and hiring managers to help keep the hiring process efficient and aligned.
Key Responsibilities
- Find and engage suitable candidates through a mix of online sourcing, internal and external databases, professional networking, and referrals.
- Create and implement focused sourcing plans to meet both immediate and upcoming hiring needs, especially for roles that are challenging to fill.
- Conduct early-stage candidate conversations to evaluate experience, qualifications, and fit with the organization’s values.
- Keep the candidate relationship management system current by recording candidate activity and pipeline progress accurately.
- Work in coordination with recruiters and hiring managers to clarify role expectations and match candidate profiles to open positions.
- Share ideas, market insight, and recommendations on tools and methods that can improve sourcing effectiveness.
- Develop and maintain positive candidate relationships so applicants remain engaged throughout the recruitment journey.
- Take on additional responsibilities as needed.
- Maintain dependable, regular attendance.
- Follow company policies and standards consistently.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a similar discipline is preferred.
- 2 to 4 years of experience in HR, recruiting, talent acquisition, or administrative work is required.
- Prior success in building candidate pipelines for specialized or difficult-to-fill roles is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong command of sourcing approaches such as Boolean search and database research.
- Comfort using CRM systems, applicant tracking systems, and candidate sourcing tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work well with candidates and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to juggle several priorities and adjust quickly when hiring needs change.
- Awareness of labor-market trends, sourcing technologies, and recruitment best practices.
