Job description

Job purpose

This role focuses on building, reviewing, and managing compensation and benefits frameworks, while also ensuring HR policies are current, practical, and aligned with the company’s strategy and compliance requirements. The position also has responsibility for the performance management system.

Core responsibilities

  • Review HR policies and employee benefit rules, compare them with practices used by similar organizations, and prepare findings with recommendations.
  • Examine applicable laws and labor arbitration rulings to identify trends, confirm policy compliance, and propose updates where needed.
  • Support the annual workforce budget for all departments by collecting required information and working with managers to complete workforce planning on time.
  • Issue the approved manpower budget, organization charts, and establishment data, then track implementation and prepare regular status reports.
  • Maintain and improve the organization chart structure so that changes are implemented smoothly and any variation requests match the workforce plan and company policy.
  • Design and roll out the full performance management process, from goal setting through merit allocation and bonus distribution for SASREF employees.
  • Coordinate merit increase and variable pay activities, and help managers understand the company’s compensation approach, process, and principles.
  • Ensure promotion policies and procedures are applied consistently.
  • Keep reward programs competitive across local and global labor markets while meeting legal, quality, and industry practice standards.
  • Make sure all roles have clear, accurate job descriptions and that related business processes and work activities are carried out in line with SASREF policy.
  • Carry out position-management tasks such as system setup, reporting, and data cleansing.

Safety responsibilities

Workplace and process safety must always be protected. The employee is expected to follow all issued instructions and safe operating procedures, avoid putting themselves or others at risk, and comply with the company’s HSE Policy, 5 Safety Principles, and 8 Golden Safety Rules.

Cybersecurity responsibilities

The role requires protecting SASREF’s digital assets and information by following cybersecurity best practices, handling company systems and data securely, and complying with all information security policies.

Qualifications and experience

  • A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Professional certifications such as CCP or GRP are preferred.
