Job description
About CacheFly
CacheFly delivers high-speed, secure content delivery around the world. The company operates in a performance-focused, remote-first environment where ownership, accountability, and speed matter. As the business expands, CacheFly is hiring an experienced HR Manager to oversee the complete employee journey, including recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and benefits for a distributed global team.
Role Overview
This is a practical, high-impact position that spans the full employee lifecycle. A large part of the role will focus on technical hiring, especially sourcing and selecting engineers, infrastructure specialists, and other technical talent that directly supports CacheFly’s product and growth goals. In addition to hiring, the role owns the performance management approach built on EOS, works with leaders to strengthen expectations, and helps managers lead with consistency and accountability.
Reporting to the CFO, the HR Manager will collaborate closely with leadership to keep people practices clear, fair, and aligned with business outcomes. The position is well suited to an HR generalist who enjoys building structure, taking full ownership, and working as the only HR person in the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Global Talent Acquisition
- Lead end-to-end recruiting for all roles, with a strong emphasis on technical positions such as engineering, infrastructure, and related functions.
- Work with hiring managers to clarify role expectations, define success measures, align compensation, and support hiring decisions.
- Handle sourcing, interview coordination, offer management, background checks, and onboarding.
- Make sure hiring practices follow applicable rules across countries and worker types.
- Keep the candidate experience efficient, respectful, and oriented toward consistently attracting stronger talent.
HR Business Partner & Employee Relations
- Act as the main HR point of contact for employees, managers, and company leadership.
- Guide and coach managers on expectation-setting, feedback delivery, performance management, and employee concerns.
- Support employee lifecycle events such as performance reviews, corrective actions, and departures.
- Address employee issues and workplace conflicts with good judgment and confidentiality.
- Stay connected to culture, engagement, and morale through ongoing feedback and observation.
HR Operations
- Oversee benefits administration, including enrollments, renewals, and coordination with vendors.
- Manage payroll-related inputs, HR systems, records, and reporting in collaboration with Finance.
- Protect the accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance of HR data.
- Support compensation administration and market benchmarking.
- Maintain and revise HR policies and supporting documents so they match how the company works.
Training, Onboarding & Remote Culture
- Own onboarding programs that clearly explain expectations, job responsibilities, and day-to-day ways of working at CacheFly.
- Partner with managers to identify skill gaps and development needs.
- Coordinate internal or external learning initiatives that improve manager capability and employee growth.
- Maintain mandatory compliance training and internal HR resources.
- Encourage strong remote-work habits and connection across a distributed-first team.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of practical HR experience in a generalist or HR Manager capacity.
- Demonstrated success in recruiting technical talent such as engineering and infrastructure roles; experience in technology is a plus but not essential.
- Experience working in a lean HR setup or as the sole HR owner.
- Solid experience in global hiring, employee relations, and HR operations.
- Working understanding of U.S. employment law; experience with international or contractor populations is preferred.
- Strong organization, pragmatism, and the ability to handle confidential information with care.
- Comfort working closely with Finance and senior leaders.
- Hands-on familiarity with modern HR tools and systems.
Benefits
- Competitive pay plus a target annual bonus of 15%.
- Comprehensive health coverage, including medical, dental, vision, LTD/STD, and life insurance, with most premiums covered by the company.
- 401(k) plan with a 4% Safe Harbor match that is fully vested from day one.
- Unlimited paid time off, all U.S. federal holidays, and flexible working hours.
- Remote-first setup with a substantial home-office stipend and a monthly internet/phone reimbursement.
Who This Role Fits
This opportunity is best suited to an HR professional who is comfortable owning the full people function, can recruit strong technical talent, and wants to build people programs that are practical and effective in a distributed environment.
