Job description

About CacheFly

CacheFly delivers high-speed, secure content distribution services worldwide. It is a remote-first technology company that emphasizes accountability, ownership, and quick execution. As the company expands, it needs an experienced HR leader to manage the full employee journey — from hiring and onboarding to performance management and benefits — across a global team.

Role Overview

This position is highly practical and influential, with responsibility for the complete employee lifecycle. A major part of the role involves technical hiring, including sourcing and selecting engineers, infrastructure experts, and other technical talent essential to CacheFly’s product and growth.

In addition to recruiting, the HR Manager will lead the performance management approach, which is based on EOS, work with leaders to strengthen expectations, and help managers operate consistently and with accountability. The role reports to the CFO and works closely with leadership to keep people processes clear, fair, and aligned with business goals. It is well suited to an HR generalist who enjoys ownership, structure-building, and working independently as the only person in the function.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition

  • Manage end-to-end hiring for all positions, with strong emphasis on technical roles such as engineering and infrastructure.
  • Work with hiring managers to clarify job scope, define success metrics, align on compensation, and support hiring decisions.
  • Oversee sourcing, interview coordination, offer management, background verification, and onboarding.
  • Carry out hiring practices that remain compliant across countries and worker types.
  • Keep candidate processes efficient, positive, and effective in consistently improving the quality of hires.

HR Business Partnering & Employee Relations

  • Act as the main HR point of contact for employees, managers, and leadership.
  • Guide and coach managers on goal setting, feedback delivery, performance management, and handling employee issues.
  • Support employee lifecycle activities such as reviews, corrective actions, and exits.
  • Address employee concerns and workplace conflicts thoughtfully, confidentially, and with good judgment.
  • Monitor culture, engagement, and team morale through regular feedback and communication.

HR Operations

  • Manage benefits administration, enrollments, renewals, and coordination with vendors.
  • Handle payroll-related inputs, HR systems, employee records, and reporting in collaboration with Finance.
  • Protect the accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance of HR data.
  • Support compensation processes and market benchmarking.
  • Maintain and revise HR policies and documentation so they reflect actual company practices.

Onboarding, Training & Remote Culture

  • Own onboarding experiences that clearly explain expectations, role ownership, and how work is executed at CacheFly.
  • Partner with managers to identify skills gaps and development needs.
  • Arrange internal or external training that improves manager capability and employee growth.
  • Maintain mandatory compliance training and internal HR reference materials.
  • Encourage strong remote-working habits and connection across a distributed team.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of practical experience in HR, either as a generalist or HR manager.
  • Demonstrated success in hiring for technical functions such as engineering or infrastructure; exposure to the tech sector is advantageous but not essential.
  • Experience working alone or in a very small HR team.
  • Strong experience in global recruitment, employee relations, and HR operations.
  • Working understanding of U.S. employment law; experience with international or contractor-based hiring is preferred.
  • Well-organized, practical, and dependable when handling confidential information.
  • Comfortable collaborating closely with Finance and senior leaders.
  • Skilled in using modern HR platforms and systems.

Benefits

  • Competitive pay plus a target annual bonus of 15%.
  • Comprehensive health coverage, including medical, dental, vision, LTD/STD, and life insurance, with most benefits provided at no employee cost.
  • 401(k) plan with a 4% Safe Harbor match that is fully vested from the first day.
  • Unlimited paid time off, all U.S. federal holidays, and flexible working hours.
  • Remote-first environment with a substantial work-from-home stipend and a monthly allowance for internet and phone expenses.

Additional Information

The role is intended for an HR professional who can build effective people programs and recruit strong technical talent in a fast-moving, distributed company.
