About the Role
Southwest Oilfield Products Inc. is looking for a motivated, organized, and people-centered HR Generalist / Talent Acquisition Specialist to join their expanding team in Houston, TX. This position entails overseeing recruiting activities while also managing diverse HR responsibilities such as employee onboarding, offboarding, benefits management, HR operations, and organizing employee events. The role is focused on fostering strong relationships, juggling multiple tasks effectively, and ensuring a positive employee experience from hiring through exit. Prior experience in manufacturing or industrial environments is advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with managers to identify staffing needs and create impactful recruitment strategies.
- Source, screen, interview, and coordinate candidates for roles spanning manufacturing, operations, administrative, and professional categories.
- Build and maintain talent pools through job boards, networking, staffing agencies, and other sourcing channels.
- Manage interview scheduling, perform reference checks, and assist with job offers and negotiations.
- Track recruitment metrics while ensuring an excellent candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
- Organize and conduct employee onboarding and orientation programs.
- Handle offboarding processes including exit interviews, documentation, and formal separation procedures.
- Assist with benefits administration and serve as a resource for employee questions on benefit programs.
- Support time and attendance systems, maintain accurate employee records and reporting.
- Maintain confidentiality and compliance by managing employee files and HR documentation.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies and participate in special projects as assigned.
- Coordinate company events such as holiday celebrations, employee appreciation gatherings, and other engagement activities.
- Support initiatives that foster a positive workplace culture and employee engagement.
- Help administer employee recognition and internal communication programs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline preferred but not mandatory.
- A minimum of two years of experience in recruiting, HR, or related functions preferred.
- Exposure to manufacturing, industrial, or similar sectors is a plus.
- Familiarity with HR functions like onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, and employee relations advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize effectively in a high-volume setting.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport.
- Disposition for handling confidential matters with professionalism and discretion.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; experience with HRIS and applicant tracking systems is beneficial.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual salary between $70,000 and $80,000 depending on experience and background.

Additional Information
This role is stationed at the Northwest Houston area facility with typical working hours from 7 AM to 4 PM. The position requires on-site presence.
