Role Overview
This HR Generalist position is focused on day-to-day people operations and recruiting coordination. The role supports a smooth experience for candidates and employees alike, including onboarding, benefits administration, compliance support, recordkeeping, and internal HR communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with end-to-end recruiting tasks such as posting jobs, scheduling interviews, communicating with candidates, preparing offer letters, and supporting onboarding.
- Respond to routine HR questions as the initial point of contact and route more complex issues to the appropriate person.
- Handle incoming company mail and ensure it is distributed to the right teams or individuals.
- Complete new hire onboarding and maintain documentation within the HRIS platform.
- Manage offboarding steps, including removal of IT access when employees leave.
- Keep employee files current and prepare HR reports when needed.
- Liaise with benefit providers, assist with benefits administration, and support open enrollment activities.
- Help coordinate leave-of-absence cases and monitor related compliance requirements.
- Support adherence to employment laws and state-level regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate recognition initiatives and distribute internal company announcements.
- Maintain HR policies and assist with handbook revisions and updates.
- Ensure consistent attendance and reliability in the role.
Requirements
- 3 to 4 years of experience in HR or People Operations.
- Hands-on experience with HRIS tools; UKG (UltiPro) is preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Understanding of employment law and related compliance practices.
- Excellent organization skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to stay positive and manage several priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Recruiting support experience is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
Compensation and Benefits
The base annual salary for this position is estimated at $80,000 to $95,000. In addition, discretionary performance bonuses and other variable pay opportunities may be available. Final compensation will depend on the candidate’s experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
