Job Overview

The role of HR - ER Compliance Manager for the zone focuses on overseeing employee relations and ensuring compliance across designated branches within the Gold Loans business segment. This position mandates strict adherence to labour laws, company rules, audit standards, and ethical HR conduct. The candidate must be open to frequent travel to various branches for audits, investigations, and monitoring compliance.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Guarantee complete adherence to all relevant statutory regulations such as the Shops & Establishment Act, Minimum Wages Act, Bonus, Gratuity, Provident Fund, Employee State Insurance, Contract Labour Regulation Act, and Prevention of Sexual Harassment Act across branches.
  • Execute periodic HR compliance audits at branch locations.
  • Keep compliance trackers and related documentation current and accurate.
  • Collaborate with legal and compliance departments for statutory returns and inspections.
  • Provide support in both internal and external audits focused on HR and labour regulations.
  • Handle employee grievances ensuring resolutions are achieved within stipulated deadlines.
  • Lead disciplinary hearings and internal investigations as necessary.
  • Assist HR Business Partners in managing misconduct, attendance issues, and performance challenges.
  • Ensure all disciplinary actions including warning letters, charge sheets, and termination processes are appropriately documented.
  • Foster a positive employee relations environment within the zone.
  • Monitor adherence to company codes of conduct and maintain high ethical standards.
  • Work closely with business HR teams to address employee related concerns.
  • Manage background verification and maintain employee records.
  • Ensure compliance with Prevention of Sexual Harassment laws across branches, supporting inquiry committees and facilitating awareness programs.
  • Regularly visit branches for compliance checks and employee interaction, including surprise audits.
  • Be readily available to handle urgent employee relations matters and statutory compliance inspections.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • In-depth understanding of labour legislations and compliance requirements.
  • Experience managing employee relations and disciplinary procedures.
  • Competency in conducting investigations and resolving conflicts.
  • Excellent skills in documentation and audit process management.
  • Strong communication abilities and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Willingness and capacity to travel frequently within the assigned zone.
