This remote role supports volunteers throughout their engagement with the Collective, reporting directly to the HR Manager. The Coordinator will facilitate communication with applicants, coordinate interviews, assist onboarding and offboarding procedures, manage volunteer records, and provide consistent support to the team. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain experience in human resources, volunteer management, and nonprofit operations while contributing to wildlife conservation efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain communication with prospective volunteers during recruitment, addressing questions and updating them on progress.
  • Arrange interviews between candidates and hiring managers, ensuring a seamless recruitment process.
  • Help the HR Manager onboard new volunteers by preparing introductory materials and organizing orientation sessions.
  • Assist with volunteer exit procedures, including collecting feedback when appropriate.
  • Keep volunteer records accurate, current, and well-organized.
  • Provide administrative aid related to recruitment, volunteer engagement, and HR initiatives.
  • Act as a contact point for volunteers, addressing inquiries and directing them to the proper team members.
  • Support the development and upkeep of onboarding documents, guides, and HR resources.
  • Promote a welcoming, inclusive, and positive experience for all volunteers across the Collective.

Candidate Requirements

  • A strong commitment to conservation and environmental sustainability.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational ability and keen attention to detail.
  • Discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Calendar, Gmail) and aptitude for new collaborative online tools.
  • Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively with a remote volunteer team.
  • Prior experience in human resources, volunteer coordination, administrative roles, or customer service.

Benefits

  • Chance to positively impact a nationally recognized conservation organization.
  • Acquire hands-on experience in HR, volunteer management, and nonprofit administration.
  • Enhance communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Join an encouraging community of passionate conservation photographers and volunteers.
  • Enjoy flexible volunteering hours in a fully remote setting.
