Job description
Role overview
A global FMCG business is expanding and restructuring, and is now seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join its team in Dublin West. The company is home to well-known consumer brands, operates across five sites, and has a workforce of more than 400 people. Recent employee engagement and satisfaction results have reached a record high.
The role reports directly to the Chief People Officer / Head of HR, who will act as a strong mentor and key business partner. The organisation is looking for someone with presence, confidence, and the ability to shape the agenda, influence senior stakeholders, and manage both immediate HR needs and longer-term people priorities.
This position is based in Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland, with a hybrid working arrangement of three days in the office and two days working from home. The indicative salary is around 90,000 and the package includes pension and bonus. There is also clear scope for career progression.
What the role is about
The successful candidate will be a proactive, people-centred HR professional who can turn strategy into practical action. You will work closely with the business to design and deliver people initiatives that strengthen performance, engagement, and growth, while helping maintain an inclusive and high-performing culture.
This is a high-impact position with responsibility for partnering with leaders, driving the people agenda, and supporting business success through effective HR leadership.
Key responsibilities
- Work with business leaders to connect people priorities with wider business objectives, while coaching on leadership capability, team effectiveness, and organisational structure.
- Serve as a trusted adviser on complex people issues and decision-making.
- Support workforce planning, talent mapping, and succession planning through organisational effectiveness work.
- Lead or contribute to organisational design and change programmes that improve agility and performance.
- Partner on talent development and retention initiatives.
- Manage or support performance management activity, ensuring a consistent and high-quality approach.
- Provide expert support on employee relations matters and help ensure fair, balanced, and consistent outcomes.
- Promote a positive employee experience and an inclusive culture rooted in values.
- Review engagement data and turn insights into focused action plans.
- Support transformation projects and broader business change programmes.
- Act as a change partner for leaders and teams navigating uncertainty, transition, and ambiguity.
Experience and qualifications
You should bring at least five years of experience in a comparable strategic HR role. A degree in HR, Business, Psychology, or a related subject is expected, and CIPD qualification would be an advantage.
The role calls for strong commercial thinking, the ability to convert business needs into effective people solutions, and confidence in coaching and influencing stakeholders at senior level. A sound understanding of employee relations, employment law, and HR best practice is essential, along with experience supporting organisational change and transformation. Strong analytical ability, resilience, adaptability, and personal credibility are also important.
Additional notes
The right candidate will need to be comfortable challenging ideas, dealing with tension, saying no where needed, and bringing original thinking to the table. The business values someone who can operate tactically and strategically, balance daily HR issues with future planning, and help shape key projects such as engagement surveys and reward programmes.
Applications are treated in strict confidence.
