About the Role

Our client, an expanding company in the energy sector located in Dublin 8, is seeking a dedicated HR Business Partner. This full-time position requires four days onsite with one day working remotely. You will join a small HR team and report directly to the HR Director. This is a unique opportunity to establish foundational HR processes and shape the future HR approach within the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the entire recruitment cycle, collaborating closely with hiring managers to define roles, source candidates, conduct interviews, and facilitate onboarding.
  • Manage employee relations cases autonomously, including conducting investigations, handling disciplinary actions and grievances, while mentoring managers throughout the process.
  • Assist managers in implementing performance improvement plans and establishing an effective performance management framework.
  • Serve as the main HR contact for people managers addressing daily HR matters.
  • Maintain accurate employee records within the HR information system.
  • Develop and revise HR policies ensuring compliance with Irish employment laws and proactively highlighting potential risk areas.
  • Administer employee benefits programs and respond to employee inquiries related to them.
  • Participate in salary benchmarking activities and support the development of job architecture in preparation for pay transparency standards.
  • Support initiatives related to employee engagement, learning and development, and diversity and inclusion.
  • Produce HR reports and metrics for senior leadership and contribute to organizational change projects.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Extensive practical experience as an HR generalist, demonstrating the ability to independently manage full-cycle recruitment, handle employee relations cases comprehensively, and engage in performance management initiatives.
  • Proven capability to thrive within a small HR team environment without extensive departmental support.
  • Exhibit strong initiative, sound judgment, and the confidence to proactively address emerging HR issues.
  • Adaptable in balancing hands-on responsibilities with strategic conversations during the workday.
  • Effective at interacting with and influencing senior leadership teams.

Compensation and Benefits

The remuneration package ranges from €55,000 to €65,000 annually, depending on prior experience, supplemented by additional employee benefits.
