Role Overview

We are looking for an HR Business Partner / Senior HR Generalist to be based at our Spiddal, County Galway site. The role involves partnering with leaders and employees to provide strategic and practical HR support that enhances business outcomes and fosters a positive workplace. You will manage key employee relations, coach management, support talent initiatives, and ensure compliance with legislation and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with management and staff to deliver strategic and operational HR guidance throughout the employee lifecycle.
  • Handle complex employee relations issues including disciplinary actions, grievances, dignity-at-work, performance, and absence management compliant with legal standards.
  • Develop and mentor managers on effective people management, employment laws, human resource policies, and best practices.
  • Facilitate recruitment, onboarding, workforce planning, talent management, succession, learning, engagement, and retention efforts.
  • Support organizational change and lead communications initiatives for employees.
  • Maintain and analyze HR metrics and reports to identify trends, inform decisions, and improve business outcomes.
  • Lead or contribute to projects aimed at reinforcing organizational culture and advancing leadership capabilities.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant employment laws, GDPR, health and safety standards, mandatory HR training, and internal policies.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (Level 8) in Human Resource Management, Business Management, or a related field.
  • Four to five years of progressively responsible HR experience, preferably within manufacturing or regulated sectors.
  • Proven expertise in employee relations, management coaching, and performance oversight.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and build credibility.
  • Experience in supporting change management and offering business-aligned HR solutions.
  • Analytical competence to interpret HR data and provide actionable insights.
  • Familiarity with HR Information Systems such as Workday is advantageous.
  • Postgraduate qualifications in HR and/or CIPD accreditation are desirable.
