Job description
Role overview
This is a newly established Human Resources Business Partner opportunity with a respected industrial organisation north of Adelaide. The position is designed for someone who wants to help shape a developing HR function, introduce broader HR policies, and contribute meaningfully with the backing of a supportive leadership team.
In this role, you will work closely with business leaders across assigned units, combining strategic input with hands-on delivery. The focus is on practical, commercially relevant people solutions that support business performance, workforce capability, and compliance obligations.
Key accountabilities
- Act as a trusted HR adviser to leaders, aligning people initiatives with business goals and workforce requirements.
- Guide managers through employee relations issues such as performance concerns, grievances, and investigations.
- Assist with hiring activity, workforce planning, and smooth onboarding across the organisation.
- Coach leaders on performance improvement, identifying future talent, and succession planning.
- Contribute to organisational change, restructures, and wider transformation programs.
- Manage HR administration, employee records, payroll coordination, and remuneration-related processes.
- Support initiatives that strengthen culture, inclusion, engagement, and employee wellbeing.
Candidate profile
The ideal candidate is an accomplished HR Generalist or HR Business Partner with at least 5 years of relevant experience. You should have strong working knowledge of Australian employment legislation and industrial relations frameworks, along with proven experience handling complex employee relations matters.
You will also bring strong stakeholder management, coaching, and consulting capabilities, plus the confidence to work independently in a busy environment. Success in this role will depend on your ability to influence decisions and turn HR strategy into practical solutions that make commercial sense.
Culture and benefits
- Join a collaborative, people-focused workplace with visible support from leadership.
- Help design and establish HR processes and frameworks from the ground up.
- Take advantage of long-term growth potential within a stable and expanding business.
