Job description

About the Role

Disney Entertainment & ESPN Product and Technology is hiring an HR Business Partner to join its HR team. This group powers the technology and product foundation behind Disney’s streaming ecosystem, including Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+, and other flagship products across Disney’s brands and franchises.

In this role, you will help shape and execute a people strategy that supports business goals. You will act as a strategic advisor to leadership teams within Disney Entertainment and ESPN Product & Technology, delivering integrated HR support across organization design, talent management, organizational effectiveness, change and transition management, functional HR integration, and other core people initiatives. The role reports to the Director, People & Culture Business Partner.

What You’ll Do

  • Partner directly with client groups to resolve people-related challenges and support business initiatives with practical HR solutions.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the business and help drive people programs aligned to its priorities.
  • Provide end-to-end HR support so employees and managers have a clear, coordinated connection to the wider HR organization.
  • Own assigned HR projects and initiatives, which may include performance management, talent planning, compensation planning, career growth, and organization design.
  • Support day-to-day HR matters for assigned teams and ensure proposed solutions create real value for the business.
  • Act as a trusted contact for employees seeking guidance, support, or help raising concerns.
  • Address employee relations matters within assigned groups and escalate complex cases to the Senior Manager and Employee Relations team when needed.
  • Work closely with HR business partners in other areas to maintain a consistent employee and leader experience.
  • Coach business leaders on HR policies and processes, including talent planning, learning, and performance management, to encourage engagement and continuous development.
  • Collaborate with HR specialists to execute people strategies that support business goals and growth.
  • Review trends and workforce metrics, then work with HR experts to recommend solutions and build programs that better serve client needs.
  • Maintain strong business understanding and use it to provide thoughtful consultation and influence leadership decisions.
  • Identify situations that require escalation and surface them promptly.

What We’re Looking For

  • At least 3 years of experience in Human Resources.
  • Ability to manage several projects at once while staying organized and prioritizing effectively.
  • Strong capability in combining strategy with execution and aligning HR work to business needs.
  • Comfort working with data, interpreting trends, and turning numbers into clear insights and stories.
  • Advanced Excel ability, including formulas, pivot tables, and charts/graphs.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to investigate issues thoroughly.
  • Resourceful problem-solver who can guide clients through complex situations even when the answer is not obvious.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation development.
  • Solid understanding of HR practices and current industry approaches.
  • Confident facilitation, presentation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders, work across a diverse organization, and help deliver business outcomes.
  • Comfort handling conflict and challenging conventional thinking when needed.
  • Preferred: prior HR experience within The Walt Disney Company.
  • Preferred: consulting or change management experience.
