Role overview
As an HR Business Partner, you will act as a trusted strategic advisor to leaders and managers. Your focus will be to connect HR priorities with business needs while supporting workforce planning, employee development, engagement, organizational design, and overall business effectiveness.
Key responsibilities
- Work with business leaders to design and execute people strategies that support company objectives.
- Offer specialist support on employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, and talent development.
- Contribute to organizational design, succession planning, and change management programs.
- Partner with managers to resolve employee issues and help maintain a constructive workplace environment.
- Review workforce data and HR indicators to inform strategic decisions.
- Support programs that improve employee engagement, retention, and professional growth.
- Help ensure adherence to employment laws, internal policies, and accepted HR practices.
- Assist with compensation reviews, talent management activities, and performance assessment cycles.
- Take part in HR transformation, culture development, and organizational development work.
- Coordinate with recruitment teams to support hiring needs and broader talent acquisition plans.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, Psychology, or a similar discipline.
- At least 5 years of HR experience, including exposure to HR business partnering, employee relations, talent management, or similar areas.
- Solid knowledge of HR practices, employment legislation, and workforce management principles.
- Proven ability to partner with leaders and influence stakeholders across different levels.
- Strong communication, coaching, and relationship management capabilities.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Experience handling complex employee relations matters and organizational issues.
- Comfort with both strategic thinking and hands-on HR delivery.
- A professional approach, sound judgment, integrity, and strong business awareness.
- Preferred: experience in multinational or fast-moving business environments.
- Preferred: familiarity with Singapore employment regulations and HR compliance expectations.
- Preferred: experience supporting change, workforce transformation, or business growth initiatives.
- Preferred: professional HR certifications such as IHRP, SHRM, CIPD, HRCI, or similar qualifications.
- Preferred: knowledge of HR analytics, talent systems, and workforce planning methods.
