Role Overview
This HR Advisor position primarily supports the Operations divisions and collaborates with the broader HR team. The main focus is on Employee Relations, providing thorough advice and services across multiple departments. The role involves coaching managers on policies and processes, handling various HR projects, and serving as a key contact for employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee numerous Employee Relations cases including disciplinary actions, grievances, absence management, performance issues, and workplace investigations with full accountability.
- Offer expert guidance and advice to managers on Employee Relations matters, ensuring procedures align with company policies and employment legislation.
- Lead and manage sensitive and complex investigations and hearings.
- Coach and assist line managers to build their confidence and skills in handling personnel issues.
- Design and deliver training workshops aimed at enhancing managerial capabilities in people management.
- Promote the company’s values consistently among teams and encourage leadership to embody these values.
- Utilize data analytics to monitor Employee Relations activities and prepare related reports and insights.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of Employee Relations cases.
- Identify patterns in Employee Relations to recommend risk reduction and best practice improvements.
- Work closely with HR teams to ensure uniform and high-quality Human Resources services.
- Stay updated on evolving employment laws and proactively suggest and implement HR initiatives.
Requirements
- Proven track record as an HR Advisor or similar role in fast-paced environments.
- Strong expertise in Employee Relations with demonstrated ability to manage complex cases independently.
- Comprehensive knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
- Experience coaching or mentoring junior HR staff.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills across all organizational levels.
- Good organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.
- Professional attitude with a pragmatic, solutions-oriented mindset.
- CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent experience is desirable.
- Experience in delivering management training workshops is advantageous.
Compensation and Location
The salary range is between £40,000 and £50,000, depending on experience. The position is based at the Head Office in Paddington, London, with occasional monthly travel to West Drayton and Liverpool sites. Hybrid working arrangements apply.
