Role Overview

The Housekeeping Specialist is a full-time, on-site position based in Madurai. This role includes the upkeep and cleaning of guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas to uphold the hotel's stringent standards. Daily responsibilities involve bed making, linen and amenity replacement, dusting, vacuuming, trash disposal, and sanitization of all surfaces and fixtures. Additionally, the specialist handles laundry duties such as sorting, washing, drying, folding, and storing linens and towels.

The role requires responding promptly to guest requests, reporting any maintenance issues, following established housekeeping protocols, and coordinating closely with the front desk and other departments to ensure seamless hotel operations.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Proficient housekeeping skills including thorough room cleaning, sanitation, and meticulous attention to detail.
• Experience managing laundry tasks such as handling, cleaning, and organizing linens and textiles used by guests.
• Strong communication abilities to engage professionally with guests and fellow team members.
• Willingness to learn and adhere to housekeeping procedures with participation in continuous training programs.
• Basic knowledge of hotel safety and hygiene standards.
• Dependability with punctuality, able to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Physical stamina to stand for long durations and perform tasks requiring lifting, bending, and carrying supplies.
• Prior experience in hotel housekeeping or facility cleaning is advantageous but not mandatory.
