Housekeeping Room Attendant

Role overview

The hotel is hiring a housekeeper/room attendant to help maintain a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for guests throughout their stay. This position focuses on guest-room upkeep, cleanliness of shared spaces, laundry support, and routine housekeeping tasks that contribute to overall guest satisfaction.

What you will do

• Keep shared areas tidy, including hallways, public washrooms, and the hotel lobby.
• Vacuum, mop, make beds, replace linens, handle laundry, restock rooms, and complete other assigned cleaning tasks.
• Prepare guest rooms to the property’s standards before arrivals.
• Record the number of rooms serviced and note any lost-and-found items, damage, or maintenance concerns.
• Answer basic guest questions in a professional and helpful manner.

What the job calls for

• A solid understanding of cleaning methods and the proper use of cleaning products.
• Strong work habits with good organization, time management, and communication abilities.
• A team-oriented attitude and a careful, detail-focused approach to housekeeping work.
• High school completion, GED, or an equivalent credential.
• Prior experience as a professional housekeeper is preferred, with at least 1 year considered an advantage.

Compensation

The role pays $16 per hour.
