Opportunity Overview

A notable vacancy has emerged for a live-in housekeeping couple to manage the upkeep of a beautifully restored farm wedding venue. This role demands candidates who can handle physical work efficiently, demonstrate independence, and collaborate effectively with others. While prior experience in a comparable position is preferred, it is not mandatory provided candidates exhibit a high level of workmanship and keen attention to detail.

Maintenance Responsibilities

Report directly to the Estates Manager.
Conduct general property maintenance tasks.
Perform fire alarm testing routines.
Mow lawns and manage hedge cutting.
Look after flower and shrub beds through weeding and watering.
Prepare and clean the grounds before events.
Ensure property security by locking up before and after events.
Coordinate and liaise with external contractors as needed.

Housekeeping Duties

Report to the Venue Manager regarding cleaning and housekeeping matters.
Carry out regular cleaning of the property.
Manage laundry-related tasks.
Support event setup and post-event cleanup.
Assist with receiving deliveries.
Communicate and coordinate with contractors.

Candidate Requirements

Must possess a valid clean driving license and access to a personal vehicle.
Experience in a related role is advantageous but not compulsory.
Ability to multitask and handle varied responsibilities.
Capability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when necessary.
Strong communication skills are essential.

Accommodation Details

A separate, detached two-bedroom bungalow featuring its own garden and garage is provided for accommodation.
Utility bills are not included in the accommodation.

Working Hours and Salary

Standard working hours are 37.5 hours weekly, with weekend days off available by arrangement.
Remuneration is negotiable based on candidate suitability and experience.
