About the Role and Employer
Join Sienna Senior Living as a Housekeeping Aide at the Retirement Home in Brantford, Ontario. This permanent full-time position offers a 10am to 6pm shift with a pay rate of $17.99 per hour, in accordance with the collective agreement. Key Responsibilities
- Perform varied cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, carpet shampooing, and spot cleaning of walls, windows, and doors
- Clean and disinfect resident rooms, bathrooms, furniture, and common areas following established schedules and procedures
- Ensure rooms are thoroughly prepared, clean, and welcoming for new residents, keeping spaces ready for tours at all times
- Maintain resident privacy and professionalism while working within occupied living spaces
- Show compassion and dependability, driven by the goal of enhancing seniors' quality of life
- Communicate effectively with residents and team members, providing customer service with attention to detail
- Adapt and assist with additional tasks as needed
Requirements
- Prior experience in housekeeping is essential
- Legal authorization to work in Canada (valid work/study permit if applicable)
- Successful clearance of Vulnerable Sector Check and Criminal Records Check
- Awareness that artificial intelligence may be used during applicant screening or assessment
