Job description
Role overview
The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King's Lynn NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a committed Housekeeper to support West Raynham Ward. This position focuses on helping the ward run smoothly by maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
You will work alongside patients and the wider multidisciplinary team, so the ability to communicate well, work on your own initiative, and collaborate effectively with others is important.
Main duties
- Welcome, direct, and assist visitors on the ward while coordinating with other staff members when needed.
- Move equipment, supplies, and written materials as required.
- Respond to routine information requests and pass messages on accurately while respecting confidentiality.
- Deal with informal complaints appropriately and take suitable action.
- Support the training of staff involved in housekeeping routines so ward standards are met.
- Help maintain the highest practical level of cleanliness to reduce the chance of cross infection for patients, staff, and visitors.
Working environment
You will be part of the ward team and contribute to a positive atmosphere that supports high standards of care and cleanliness.
