Job description
About the organisation
Whakatāne District Council is focused on providing services and facilities that support the community. The team takes pride in maintaining a high-quality Holiday Park experience and enjoys working in a role that helps create great getaways for visitors.
About the role
This position combines front office support with housekeeping duties. You will handle bookings, greet guests at check-in and check-out, process payments, and deliver a high standard of guest service. At the same time, you will clean holiday park cabins and shared spaces, making sure every area is tidy, comfortable, and ready for the next visitors. Laundry tasks are also part of the job.
This is a permanent part-time role of at least 10 hours per week. The roster runs across Monday to Sunday on a rotating schedule and includes weekends and public holidays.

- Using good judgment to work independently when needed.
- Helping improve routines, systems, and service delivery.
What makes you a good fit
You should bring a positive attitude, strong cleaning capability, and a genuine focus on customer service. The council will provide coaching and training, so a willingness to learn matters. You will need to work well with others, live the organisation’s values, and be comfortable taking initiative as well as working alongside a team.
