Housekeeper HCC

Job purpose

The role is focused on keeping the facility clean, safe, comfortable, and welcoming for residents, employees, and visitors. All housekeeping work must align with the organization’s procedures as well as applicable state and federal requirements, with the goal of supporting residents’ quality of life.

Key responsibilities

• Sweep, damp mop, and wet mop tiled surfaces; when needed, carry out floor care tasks such as spray buffing, stripping, or waxing while following center procedures and using wet floor signs appropriately.
• Vacuum carpeted areas where applicable.
• Empty waste bins, clean both the inside and outside of containers, and replace liners with fresh ones.
• Clean bathroom sinks, fixtures, and toilets according to facility guidelines.
• Maintain mirrors, pictures, windows, and other glass surfaces.
• Clean areas behind and beneath furniture and other fixtures.
• Observe infection prevention standards while performing all cleaning duties.
• Remove and prevent buildup of wax and dirt in corners, along baseboards, and in doorways.
• Replace soiled privacy curtains and exterior window draperies as required.
• Take down and rehang curtains and draperies for outside windows using a ladder when necessary.
• Dust and wipe down surfaces in resident rooms, including furniture, bed frames, and windowsills, while following center procedures and using wet floor signs as needed.
• Move furniture as required to clean underneath and behind it, in line with facility processes.
• Turn mattresses after they have been cleaned.

Experience and preferred qualifications

No prior experience is required because training will be provided on the job.

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Experience in healthcare housekeeping or environmental services would be an advantage.

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Toccoa Falls, Georgia (Primary location: Georgia-Toccoa; work location: PruittHealth - Toccoa). The schedule is first shift.
