Housekeeper (except private households)

Role overview

This position is for an on-the-road housekeeper role with work carried out at different sites as needed. The job is based in Sherbrooke, Quebec, and involves frequent or ongoing travel between locations. Education

A secondary school graduation certificate is required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted.

Experience

Applicants should have between 7 months and less than 1 year of relevant experience.

Key duties

• Carry out routine cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, washing, and polishing floors.
• Remove dust from furniture and other surfaces.
• Vacuum carpets, rugs, drapes, and upholstered furnishings.
• Clean, disinfect, and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances.
• Clean and disinfect elevators.
• Collect, document, and report lost-and-found items.
• Pick up debris and empty waste containers.
• Wash windows, walls, and ceilings.
• Respond to customer complaints and concerns in a professional manner.

Credentials

A WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System) certificate is required.

Security and travel requirements

• A criminal record check is required.
• Driver’s licence validity will be verified.
• A driving record abstract will be reviewed.
• An employer-provided vehicle is supplied for travel.
• A valid driver’s licence is mandatory.

Working conditions

• The role requires the ability to work independently.
