Role overview
This position is for an on-the-road housekeeper role with work carried out at different sites as needed. The job is based in Sherbrooke, Quebec, and involves frequent or ongoing travel between locations. Typical environments include apartment or condominium complexes and a cleaning services company setting.
Language requirement
French is required for this role.
Education
A secondary school graduation certificate is required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted.
Experience
Applicants should have between 7 months and less than 1 year of relevant experience.
Key duties
- Carry out routine cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, washing, and polishing floors.
- Remove dust from furniture and other surfaces.
- Vacuum carpets, rugs, drapes, and upholstered furnishings.
- Clean, disinfect, and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances.
- Clean and disinfect elevators.
- Collect, document, and report lost-and-found items.
- Pick up debris and empty waste containers.
- Wash windows, walls, and ceilings.
- Respond to customer complaints and concerns in a professional manner.
Credentials
A WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System) certificate is required.
Security and travel requirements
- A criminal record check is required.
- Driver’s licence validity will be verified.
- A driving record abstract will be reviewed.
- An employer-provided vehicle is supplied for travel.
- A valid driver’s licence is mandatory.
