About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join our luxury care home, Selwood House in Charlton Down, Dorset. This home accommodates up to 84 residents and offers modern facilities specializing in residential, dementia, and short-term respite care. The role is part-time, comprising 30 hours per week with weekend shifts on a rota basis. Shift timings are from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm.
Responsibilities
The Housekeeper will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the care home. Duties include meticulously cleaning resident rooms, ensuring no surface is overlooked, and handling residents' personal laundry by washing, pressing, and folding it with care. Attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness are essential to contribute positively to our residents' wellbeing.
Candidate Profile
Ideal candidates are proactive, passionate, and ambitious individuals who can help foster a person-centered environment. While prior experience as a housekeeper or laundry assistant is preferred, it is not mandatory. Candidates must display exceptional attention to detail, a friendly and caring disposition, and the ability to engage well with residents and their families. Knowledge or an understanding of the care sector is advantageous.
