Role Overview

The House Sitter position at PetCloud involves short-term, on-location care within the Craigieburn, Victoria area. The primary responsibility is to offer consistent, trustworthy in-home supervision of pets during the owner's absence, while also maintaining the household's upkeep and security.

Key Duties

• Provide daily feeding, exercise, and health monitoring tailored to each pet's instructions.
• Administer basic medications as specified and report any concerns regarding pet wellbeing promptly.
• Manage household tasks such as collecting mail, watering plants, and ensuring all entry points remain secured.
• Maintain clear and regular communication with pet owners using the PetCloud platform, including sharing updates, photos, and status reports.
• Comply with PetCloud’s professional standards emphasizing safety, responsibility, and respectful care.

Candidate Requirements

• Proven experience in caring for diverse companion animals including dogs and cats, with the aptitude to follow detailed care routines.
• Competency in home care duties, ensuring cleanliness and security of the property throughout the sitting period.
• Effective communication and customer service skills to foster trust and provide prompt responses to owners.
• Strong organizational and time management capabilities to handle bookings and schedules efficiently.
• Ability to act independently with good judgment in emergencies while adhering to safety regulations and welfare policies.
• Must possess or be willing to obtain a police clearance and comply with PetCloud’s training and verification processes; experience in veterinary assistance is beneficial.
• Familiarity with mobile and web-based platforms for managing bookings and communication; past experience in gig or platform economies is advantageous.
• Availability during evenings, weekends, and holidays to accommodate client needs.
