About Camphill Communities of Ireland

Camphill Communities of Ireland (CCoI) provides care and support for individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities as well as autism. Operating across 15 sites, CCoI delivers Residential and Day Services that help residents and attendees lead fulfilling lives that mirror typical life experiences.

Role Overview

We are seeking a House Coordinator to join our Carrick-on-Suir community on a permanent, full-time basis (40 hours per week). The position offers a competitive annual salary between c44,341 and c56,349, a chance to be part of a dedicated team, and opportunities for professional collaboration and development within a well-recognized national organization.

Key Responsibilities and Expectations

  • Lead and manage a team providing consistent, high-quality support to vulnerable adults.
  • Coordinate, direct, and delegate tasks effectively within the team setting.
  • Maintain compliance with relevant legislation, HIQA standards, and safeguarding policies.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Hold at least a Level 7 qualification on the QQI Framework, such as a BA in Social Care Studies or an equivalent Health or Social Care qualification.
  • Minimum of one year supervisory experience in a comparable social care environment.
  • At least three years working experience with vulnerable adults or adults diagnosed with intellectual disabilities.
  • Deep knowledge of current policies and developments affecting social care in disability services at national and sectoral levels.
  • Strong understanding and application of safeguarding requirements including Trust in Care and Children First initiatives.

Skills and Competencies

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in relevant IT tools including Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word), SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.
  • Ability to lead, coordinate, and motivate staff effectively.
  • Full, valid driver's license is mandatory.

Additional Information

All candidates will undergo Garda Vetting and must provide relevant police clearance for any country where they have resided for over six months since turning 18, as well as reference checks. Camphill Communities of Ireland advocates equal opportunity employment.
