Job description
Role Overview
This full-time housekeeping and laundry position in Abu Dhabi is part of a non-management team and focuses on maintaining guest rooms and shared areas to a high standard of cleanliness and presentation. The role is onsite at Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Street, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
What You Will Do
- Respond quickly when guests or other departments request assistance.
- Load the housekeeping cart with the required supplies and move it to the designated area.
- Enter guest rooms only after following the correct access and vacancy-check procedures.
- Restock guest amenities and room supplies.
- Replace used linens and terry items with clean ones.
- Make beds and fold terry items neatly.
- Clean bathrooms thoroughly.
- Remove trash, soiled linen, and room service items.
- Confirm that all in-room appliances are present and functioning properly.
- Organize desk items, furniture, and appliances.
- Dust surfaces, polish fixtures, and remove marks from walls and furnishings.
- Vacuum carpets and carry out floor care tasks in guest rooms and hallways.
Standards and Work Expectations
- Follow company policies, safety rules, and security procedures at all times.
- Escalate maintenance issues, hazards, accidents, and injuries without delay.
- Complete required safety training and certifications.
- Store flammable materials properly and safely.
- Maintain a neat, professional uniform and personal appearance.
- Protect confidential company information.
- Welcome guests respectfully and respond to their needs in line with company standards.
- Support guests with disabilities when needed.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with coworkers and others.
- Work as part of the team to achieve shared goals and maintain quality standards.
- Handle physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling equipment and loaded carts across slopes and uneven surfaces.
- Be able to reach overhead and below the knees, bend, twist, stoop, and kneel as required.
- Stand, sit, or walk for long periods throughout the shift.
- Use hands with good coordination for grasping, turning, and managing objects of different sizes and weights.
- Carry out other reasonable duties assigned by supervisors.
Preferred Background
No high school diploma or GED equivalent is required. No prior work experience is needed, and supervisory experience is not expected. No license or certification is necessary.
