Host/Hostess

Position Overview

Join JW Marriott in Doha as a Host/Hostess to warmly welcome guests and facilitate their seating arrangements with exceptional hospitality. This role involves managing dining room seating, ensuring cleanliness and preparedness of tables, and supporting the overall guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and ascertain the number of people in their party.
• Escort guests to clean, available tables, assist by pulling out chairs, and provide a current menu at each seating.
• Navigate and arrange dining room furniture, including tables and chairs, especially for groups with special requirements.
• Ensure place settings meet standards with napkins, clean silverware, and other necessary items.
• Check that menus are present, clean, and in good condition.
• Maintain cleanliness in work areas throughout shifts by following clean-as-you-go methods.
• Monitor dining room seating availability, service quality, guest safety, and welfare constantly.
• Adhere strictly to all company and safety policies and report any hazards or incidents to management.
• Keep personal presentation and uniform professional and tidy, safeguarding company confidentiality and assets.
• Communicate clearly and courteously with guests and co-workers, handling telephone etiquette professionally.
• Collaborate positively with team members to achieve shared objectives and address concerns respectfully.
• Uphold quality standards and be physically capable of standing, sitting, or walking for long durations; lift or move objects up to 10 pounds without assistance.
• Perform additional reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• No prior related work or supervisory experience required.
• No licenses or certifications necessary.
