Role overview

City Centre Rotana Doha is seeking an energetic, self-driven Food & Beverage professional to join its team as a Host / Hostess. In this role, you will create a welcoming first impression for guests and support smooth front-of-house operations with courtesy, efficiency, and professionalism.

Key duties

  • Deliver consistently warm, friendly, polished, and attentive service.
  • Greet guests at the assigned outlet, escort them to their tables, and remain available as their main point of contact.
  • Manage reservations, keep the booking register updated, and answer calls in a professional manner.
  • Prepare the outlet before service begins together with the service team.
  • Work with the service team to arrange seating according to the floor plan, including reserved or blocked tables.
  • Monitor the cleanliness and upkeep of the outlet and its entrance area.
  • Protect guest comfort by staying approachable while maintaining a discreet and respectful presence.
  • Know the menus and current promotions thoroughly so you can recommend items when requested.
  • Help maintain and update the outlet database.
  • Check that guests leave satisfied and with a positive impression.

Education and experience

A diploma or degree in hospitality is preferred, along with prior experience in the Food & Beverage department of a hotel. Strong spoken and written English is essential, and additional language skills are an advantage.
