Job description

Role Overview

Sweet&Chilli is seeking an experienced Hospitality & Events Director to oversee and deliver exceptional event experiences encompassing hospitality, production, and on-trade consultancy. This senior leadership position requires a versatile professional comfortable managing both the operational side of high-profile events and engaging strategically with clients at the executive level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and flawless execution of Sweet&Chilli events, ensuring they are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to premium quality standards.
  • Serve as the primary senior contact for major clients, confidently managing meetings with commercial acumen and professionalism.
  • Take full ownership of the financial aspects including quoting and maximizing profit margins on event hospitality projects.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and development opportunities to Event Managers and Coordinators.
  • Create, update, and manage the Event Hospitality Playbook to maintain and elevate event delivery standards.
  • Identify and foster new business opportunities both within existing client relationships and in untapped markets.

Candidate Profile

  • Extensive experience in hospitality management with a focus on events and on-trade environments.
  • Proven leadership in event production, knowledgeable about audio-visual systems, power logistics, staging, rigging, and risk assessments (RAMS).
  • Strong history of cultivating and managing relationships with senior-level clients.
  • Previous experience working with drinks brands is highly advantageous, including familiarity with trade advocacy.
  • Commercially savvy with robust skills in budget oversight, numerical analysis, and financial responsibility.
  • Experience using Scoro software is a beneficial addition but not mandatory.

Additional Details

  • Location: London (SE1), working hybrid with three days per week in the studio and flexibility during events.
  • Start Date: From 1st September 2026.
