Job description
Role Overview
G4S is hiring a Hospital Porter in Oxford, England. This is a permanent, full-time position offering 37.5 hours per week across rotating shifts. The schedule includes 07:30-16:00, 10:30-19:00, 12:30-21:00, and 21:00-07:45.
The organisation is looking for someone who communicates well, works confidently with people, and can manage manual duties while staying organised and able to set priorities effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport patients using the appropriate equipment and provide escort support to patients, visitors, and staff when required.
- Use hospital machinery, tools, equipment, and materials in line with the required procedures and regulations.
- Move furniture and equipment throughout different areas of the hospital site, both within departments and between locations.
- Carry out duties in accordance with Trust policies and procedures, while working in a way that reflects Trust values.
Working Hours
This is a permanent full-time role with 37.5 hours each week. Shift patterns may include 07:30-16:00, 10:30-19:00, 12:30-21:00, and 21:00-07:45.
Compensation
The pay rate for this role is £12.71 per hour.
