Role overview
Del Sol Medical Center is looking for a Hospital Housekeeper to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. In this role, you will support hospital operations through daily housekeeping and sanitation tasks across patient care and public areas.
What you'll do
- Clean and disinfect assigned areas by following the hospital’s required procedures.
- Carry out daily cleaning in patient rooms, discharge rooms, offices, non-patient spaces, bathrooms, and shared public areas.
- Keep a strong service focus and respond to the needs of patients and visitors with professionalism.
- Build cooperative working relationships with internal teams and external customers.
- Replenish restroom items, patient-room supplies, cleaning carts, and supply closets.
- Handle spill cleanups and other special cleaning requests as they come up.
- Turn over discharged patient rooms within the required time frame.
- Maintain, prepare, and operate cleaning equipment properly.
- Arrange auditoriums and rooms, and move furniture, supplies, and equipment as needed.
- Communicate effectively with hospital staff members and supervisors.
Experience
Prior cleaning experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
