About the role

The Hospital and Security Assistant will help maintain a safe environment for staff, patients, and visitors while also supporting the protection of property. The role also includes a variety of patient-centred support duties, such as cleaning, assisting patients, and carrying out administrative tasks when needed.

Employment details

This opportunity is based at Corowa Health Service in Corowa, New South Wales. The position is advertised as permanent and includes full-time, part-time, and casual options. The role sits in NSW Health Category A and requires immunisation and screening for specified conditions.

Compensation

The annual salary is $66,209.91, pro rata, plus superannuation and 17.5% leave loading where applicable. A casual hourly rate of $33.39 applies, plus superannuation and casual loading.

Candidate profile

The preferred candidate will have strong customer service and communication skills, be comfortable using computers and security systems, and be willing to travel when required, including long-distance travel. A current NSW Security Licence (Class 1A), First Aid Certificate, valid driver’s licence, and NSW Working with Children Check are also required.
