Overview

Join Orkin as a Home Services Technician, known as a Termite Pro, and become part of a company with over 125 years of trusted pest control and home service expertise. This role emphasizes safety for both you and your customers while providing essential home service installations that enhance domestic comfort and protection. If you appreciate hands-on work and take pride in quality service delivery, this position offers daily variety as you handle installations in diverse settings such as rooftops, crawl spaces, and attics. You will follow a scheduled route, ensuring safe and efficient service installation that makes homes safer.

Work Schedule Options

  • Three 13-hour shifts per week with four days off
  • Four 10-hour shifts weekly with three days off

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow a daily assigned route within your service territory
  • Prepare and install services including attic remediations, crawl space encapsulations, gutter protection systems, and radiant heat barriers
  • Complete all required service documentation accurately
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships while representing Orkin professionally
  • Operate safely in environments such as rooftops, crawl spaces, attics, ladders, and confined spaces
  • Drive a company vehicle responsibly
  • Occasionally lift and transport loads up to 50 pounds
  • Maintain strict safety protocols throughout all tasks
  • Perform services in all weather conditions

Compensation & Benefits

  • Starting hourly wage of $20 to $22, with average first-year earnings exceeding $50,000

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Ability to safely use ladders within weight limits
  • Capability to occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Comfort working in crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, rooftops, including climbing, balancing, and stooping
  • Use of personal protective equipment, sometimes including OSHA-compliant respirators
  • Willingness to work in varying weather conditions

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Strong communication and listening skills
  • Professionalism and commitment to safety
  • Capability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Willingness to obtain necessary state certifications with training and payments provided by Orkin
