About the Role
My City Home Inspector is expanding its team in Dalton, GA, seeking a meticulous and community-focused Home Inspector. This position involves hands-on property inspections integrating technical knowledge, client interaction, and sales-oriented follow-up to assist homeowners, buyers, and real estate agents in making informed residential property decisions.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform majority of inspections on-site at residential homes within the Chattanooga area.
- Inspect diverse elements including structural components, roofing, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and safety systems, providing varied daily work.
- Interact directly and professionally with homeowners, buyers, and real estate agents, presenting clear and friendly communication.
- Create detailed, photo-documented inspection reports using company software, ensuring timely delivery.
Candidate Profile
- Possesses hands-on construction skills and understands residential HVAC and electrical systems.
- Hold or are actively pursuing a Home Inspector certification or license in compliance with local or national standards.
- Demonstrate customer service excellence, capable of articulating complex issues simply and building rapport promptly.
- Self-motivated and organized to meet quality benchmarks, manage schedules effectively, and cultivate business growth through service and referrals.
- Committed to community service with integrity and respect.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Practical construction experience related to residential building systems.
- Knowledgeable in HVAC and basic electrical operations to identify common defects and hazards.
- Possession or pursuit of relevant Home Inspector certification/license.
- Strong client service and sales approach to suggest services and ensure follow-up.
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transport.
- Capability to work independently in the field and handle inspection schedules.

Job Details
This role offers both full-time and part-time options with a schedule primarily Monday through Friday and weekends as required.
