The Home Health Intake Coordinator serves as the initial contact for patients and their families, responsible for collecting vital patient information, confirming insurance coverage, and managing the intake process with efficiency. This position demands exceptional organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and meticulous attention to detail to help streamline operations and uphold compliance with established protocols.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience in home health care, health insurance verification, or related areas is preferred.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking capabilities.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of electronic medical records systems; experience with Wellsky, Kinnser, Allscripts, or EPIC is advantageous.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals and families.
- Strong detail orientation and dedication to maintaining patient confidentiality.
