Role Overview

The company is seeking an experienced Home Delivery Van Driver with a full, clean B licence and a strong customer-first attitude. This role focuses on delivering furniture efficiently and on time to customers’ homes while making sure service standards are consistently high. The position is based in Liosban Industrial Estate, Galway, and also covers nearby counties.

The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, be flexible in approach, and communicate well with customers and internal teams. Training can be provided to a suitable person who shows motivation and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Provide a positive customer experience throughout the delivery process; deliveries take place two days each week.
• Check orders carefully before leaving for delivery.
• Unload items according to the customer’s instructions and requirements.
• Assemble furniture inside customers’ homes when needed.
• Collect and remove old furniture when this has been arranged in advance.
• Stay in regular contact with the Logistics and Customer Service teams.
• Inspect the vehicle before starting the route.
• Support store operations as a stock assistant for three days per week.
• Receive incoming deliveries, unload stock, and place items into storage.
• Help with pricing goods.
• Disassemble and wrap items for delivery.
• Keep the store clean, tidy, and visually presentable.

Requirements

• Previous van driving experience is required, along with a full clean B driving licence.
• A strong understanding of city and county road networks, plus familiarity with the wider province, is important.
• The work involves frequent heavy lifting and is physically demanding.
• One year of home delivery experience is preferred, though it is not mandatory because training will be offered.
