Role overview

We are looking for a Home Delivery Driver to join the Whitehaven team. This position suits someone who enjoys staying active, working independently, and interacting with customers while on the road.

The role is focused on delivering shopping safely and professionally, while representing the brand as the customer’s main point of contact during delivery.

Hourly pay: £13.71.

What you will do

• Load the van safely, including handling heavy items and carrying out manual handling correctly.
• Follow road safety rules and drive with care at all times.
• Check the van before setting off.
• Make sure groceries reach customers in excellent condition.
• Deliver friendly and helpful customer service.
• Support the store team when extra help is needed.
• Work on your own and manage your time effectively.
• Be flexible with shift patterns, which may run from 6am to 11pm.

Who should apply

You should have a positive, approachable attitude and enjoy giving customers a great experience. Good timekeeping, the ability to meet deadlines, and a strong sense of road safety are important for this role.

A full driving licence is required, with at least 3 years of holding it and no more than 6 penalty points.
