Role Overview

Join a vibrant, fast-moving retail environment committed to delivering exceptional service and quality to local communities. As a Home Delivery Driver, you will play a crucial role in transporting customers' grocery orders from store to doorstep promptly and in excellent condition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a 3.5-tonne van to deliver groceries timely to customers' homes across diverse routes and conditions.
  • Perform vehicle inspections to ensure cleanliness, organization, roadworthiness, and secure loading before delivery trips.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service by addressing queries, managing substitutions, and communicating any delays transparently.
  • Develop strong familiarity with store products, services, and current promotions to offer informed recommendations.
  • Contribute to in-store activities when not engaged in deliveries, supporting team needs as required.

Candidate Profile

  • Must be over 18, holding a full UK or EU driving license for at least 12 months with no more than six penalty points.
  • Eligible to work in the UK and able to successfully complete a driving risk assessment during the recruitment process, as well as a driving evaluation upon hire.
  • Skilled in safely operating larger vehicles through diverse environments including busy urban streets and narrow rural roads, and adept at navigating a variety of residential locations.
  • Enjoys a dynamic, physically active, and fast-paced workplace, capable of independent problem-solving and thriving in team settings.
  • Adaptable and flexible, willing to learn new digital tools and handle up to 15kg loads securely.
  • Conscious driver adhering to safety standards, aided by in-cab AI technology monitoring driving behaviour to enhance road safety.
