Role overview
This position sits within the credit cards platform and may be located in Malaysia or India. When applying, the country selected must match one of those two role locations.
What you will do
- Work with the Domain Tech Lead to shape a multi-year product vision, strategy, and roadmap that supports domain goals, business expansion, and operational efficiency.
- Bring solid expertise in cross-border payments and domestic payment flows.
- Apply credit card domain knowledge, including Cardlink, C400, and ISO/Visa/MasterCard product experience.
- Use mainframe Cobol and I-Series technology knowledge to guide delivery and decision-making.
- Set the strategic direction for the product using market trends, customer data, and competitor analysis backed by strong analytics.
- Keep the product vision clear across stakeholders and maintain an updated roadmap with input from the relevant leaders and product owners.
- Drive data-led prioritisation so product choices lead to measurable business outcomes.
- Represent customer and stakeholder needs throughout the full product lifecycle.
- Maximise product value by delivering the right solutions at the right time while meeting milestones.
- Define release approaches and value-delivery plans that support efficient execution.
- Remove blockers that slow down hive performance, product delivery, or learning.
- Build a strong hive culture based on engagement, teamwork, and accountability.
- Work with the Product Owner Chapter Lead to establish and maintain governance expectations for Product Owners.
- Manage Product Owner performance and discipline, ensuring accountability and alignment with organisational objectives.
- Spot gaps and growth opportunities, and adapt the product to changing market and technology conditions.
- Lead user research and market assessment to anticipate customer needs and design effective solutions.
- Reduce rework by validating ideas early through discovery, prototyping, and user feedback.
- Continuously improve value delivery using data and stakeholder input.
- Align customer journeys across the hive to create a smooth end-to-end experience.
- Partner with technical teams to reduce technical debt and balance risk and regulatory priorities with other delivery goals.
- Address performance, scalability, and reliability concerns through structured mitigation.
- Own and prioritise the unified backlog while coordinating cross-hive priorities with other Hive Leads.
- Work daily as part of the hive leadership team, provide progress updates, present product increments to stakeholders, and act as the escalation point for Product Owners.
- Lead Hive Quarterly Big Room Planning sessions to drive alignment and accountability.
- Contribute to governance forums such as the Refinement Forum and Quarterly Performance Review.
- Take responsibility for release sign-off and confirm that quality and readiness checks are complete.
- Ensure product lifecycle activities follow eSDLC, Change Delivery Standards, and other governance requirements.
- Maintain transparent planning, tracking, and communication using enterprise tools such as ADO, Confluence, and Clarity.
- Work with process and risk control owners to design strong processes that meet organisational needs.
- Track and manage risks linked to process changes, operational delivery, and backlog management.
- Coordinate with Supply Chain Management to manage vendor relationships and procurement, with ownership based on the type of engagement.
- Define, monitor, and maintain hive OKRs that align with strategic goals and measurable impact.
- Create continuous feedback loops to improve value delivery and product performance.
- Measure hive and product outcomes against business metrics and identify improvement areas.
- Use data and analytics to improve decisions, customer experience, and journey optimisation.
Regulatory and business conduct
- Demonstrate strong ethical behaviour and follow the organisation’s values and code of conduct.
- Take responsibility for meeting all applicable legal, regulatory, and internal conduct requirements.
- Identify, escalate, and resolve risks, conduct issues, and compliance matters collaboratively.
- Exercise delegated authority in line with the board’s authorisation and the relevant constitutional documents.
