Hindi Quality Assurance Lead

About the Role

This remote contractor position is focused on Hindi quality assurance for AI training work. You will be responsible for reviewing Hindi content created by AI systems as well as the output of trainers and QA reviewers, checking that it matches project rules and maintains a consistently high standard. The work centers on quality control, feedback, documentation, and helping contributors stay active and aligned with expectations.

The role supports a fast-scaling AI data services business that supplies training data to leading AI companies and foundation-model teams. Your reviews and guidance will help improve Hindi outputs so they are accurate, natural, culturally appropriate, and consistent with client requirements.

Selection Process

The hiring process includes an AI-based interview, a task tailored to the domain, and a discussion with a recruiter.

Responsibilities

• Review Hindi items, identify quality defects, and share clear written feedback through direct messages.
• Escalate repeated or high-impact issues when they affect quality standards or project delivery.
• Keep trainers and QA team members updated on Discord regarding guideline changes, workflow updates, and expected quality levels.
• Answer questions related to Hindi grammar, Devanagari script, register, translation accuracy, Hinglish or code-switching, terminology, and cultural nuance.
• Reach out to inactive contributors, encourage them to resume work, track follow-ups, and report availability concerns.
• Build and maintain Hindi reference materials such as style guides, FAQs, trackers, examples, honeypots, onboarding content, and documentation.
• Lead onboarding or training sessions to explain workflows, rubrics, quality expectations, and Hindi-specific standards.
• Apply Hindi language rules and project guidelines consistently across all reviewed material.
• Detect repeated quality problems and support improvements to QA processes.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Hindi, linguistics, translation, communications, journalism, English, education, quality assurance, or a closely related field.
• Native or near-native command of Hindi, with strong reading and writing ability.
• Strong English skills for understanding instructions, coordinating with teams, and giving precise feedback.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in Hindi writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, AI training, education, annotation, or a similar language-review workflow.
• Solid knowledge of Hindi grammar, Devanagari script, spelling, punctuation, tone, register, formal and conversational usage, and India-specific cultural context.
• Ability to assess Hindi content against detailed rubrics and identify issues such as mistranslation, awkward literal phrasing, unnatural tone, incorrect gender or verb agreement, unsupported claims, ambiguity, or inconsistent terminology.
• Prior experience guiding or supporting remote teams of trainers, annotators, reviewers, editors, or QA specialists is strongly preferred.
• Comfort using Discord, Google Sheets, Google Docs, trackers, dashboards, and project management tools.
• Strong organization and attention to detail, with the ability to manage style guides, FAQs, trackers, onboarding documents, honeypots, and similar materials.
• Exposure to AI training, data annotation, LLM evaluation, prompt/response evaluation, or rubric-based LLM QA is an added advantage.

Additional Information

This is an hourly remote contract role. The position is based in Qatar, but the work itself can be done remotely.
