About the Role

This opportunity is for a skilled operator to assist maintenance teams in ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality work across the local network. The role involves maintaining roads, operating machinery and plant equipment, and supporting the broader team to keep community transport routes functional.

Key Responsibilities and Expectations

  • Operate and maintain heavy machinery safely to deliver road maintenance tasks.
  • Adhere strictly to safety protocols protecting yourself, colleagues, and the public.
  • Maintain a high standard of workmanship representative of the company's reputation and values.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

  • Hold a Class 2 driver's license with WTR (Warrant of Fitness Transport Registration) - mandatory.
  • Previous experience in roading and infrastructure works.
  • Experience in drainage maintenance or similar roles is advantageous.
  • Demonstrate self-motivation, a positive outlook, and independent decision-making ability.
  • Physically fit due to demanding physical job requirements.
  • Be dependable, honest, and flexible as part of a team.
