Key responsibilities
- Use equipment such as excavators, loaders, dozers, and grading machines to complete construction assignments.
- Carry out daily inspections and basic upkeep to help ensure equipment remains safe and dependable.
- Review plans, blueprints, and job details to perform work according to specifications.
- Work closely with supervisors and crew members to keep operations moving and meet deadlines.
- Follow site safety rules and operating procedures to help maintain a secure work environment.
- Support equipment transport, site cleanup, and other tasks when assigned.
Requirements
- Prior hands-on experience operating heavy construction equipment in a similar position.
- Valid certifications or licences for heavy equipment operation.
- Solid understanding of safe operating practices and construction safety standards.
- Ability to interpret construction instructions, plans, and job requirements.
- Physically capable of working outdoors in varying weather and site conditions.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to work overtime and travel to different project locations as required.
