Job description

Role Overview

MSSI (Medical Staffing Solutions, Inc.) is building healthcare workforce solutions through StaffBook, a platform designed to connect healthcare organizations with qualified clinicians using flexible staffing models. The company’s goal is to help facilities keep staffing levels safe and reliable while also opening up meaningful opportunities for healthcare professionals.

The organization is looking for an experienced, energetic Healthcare Recruiter to support nationwide hiring efforts. In this position, you will source, recruit, and place healthcare professionals in travel, local contract, per diem, and permanent roles. The ideal person brings at least 2 years of agency recruiting background, performs well in a fast-paced environment where results are tracked closely, and can succeed in a highly competitive market.

This role calls for strong persistence, a sense of urgency, the ability to build relationships quickly, and a genuine interest in matching clinicians with opportunities that support both their career goals and the staffing needs of healthcare partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, engage, and place healthcare professionals in a wide range of clinical specialties across the country.
  • Develop and grow a pipeline of both active and passive candidates using job boards, referrals, networking, social channels, and direct outreach.
  • Handle the full recruiting process from first contact through onboarding.
  • Keep candidates informed and supported throughout hiring to create a smooth and positive experience.
  • Hit or surpass weekly and monthly targets for submissions, placements, and revenue.
  • Work closely with account managers to understand client hiring needs and fill openings quickly.
  • Track market movements, compensation patterns, and competitor activity to stay effective in a crowded talent market.
  • Maintain accurate candidate and activity records in the applicant tracking system.
  • Make sure all credentialing, licensing, and employment compliance requirements are followed.

Required Experience and Qualifications

Applicants should have at least 2 years of recent agency recruiting experience, ideally in healthcare staffing. A track record of success in a competitive hiring environment is important, along with consistent achievement of recruiting and placement targets. Strong sourcing ability across job boards, social media, referrals, and direct outreach is needed, as well as excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. The role also requires solid organization, the ability to manage several priorities at once, and a self-directed, results-focused work style. Familiarity with ATS platforms, CRM tools, and Microsoft Office is expected.

Preferred Background

Experience with healthcare licensing, credentialing, and compliance processes is preferred, along with prior work in a high-volume staffing setting.
