Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Healthcare Project Manager to oversee strategic project delivery within a clinical environment on a temporary contract. The role is based in Dublin City Center with hybrid working arrangements and is initially contracted for six months with potential for extension. This position offers the chance to lead notable healthcare transformation projects while ensuring compliance with healthcare legislation and governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end delivery of healthcare transformation and technology projects.
- Create and control project plans, schedules, budgets, risk registers, issues, and dependencies.
- Collaborate closely with clinical teams, healthcare experts, business stakeholders, and technical staff to ensure smooth execution of projects.
- Organize and lead workshops and stakeholder meetings to define requirements and align on deliverables.
- Oversee project governance, provide reporting, and maintain communication with senior leadership.
- Ensure timely delivery within budget and adherence to quality standards.
- Identify, assess, and manage risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate with external vendors and implementation partners as necessary.
- Support organizational change management and promote user adoption efforts.
- Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations, information governance, and security mandates.
Required Experience and Expertise
- Over five years of project management experience handling complex projects.
- Proven track record of managing projects in healthcare or clinical settings.
- Experience working with multidisciplinary teams including clinicians, healthcare professionals, business stakeholders, and IT teams.
- Proficient in project management methodologies including Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid approaches.
- Skilled in budget management, governance processes, RAID documentation, and executive stakeholder reporting.
- Outstanding communication, facilitation, and stakeholder relationship skills.
- Ability to juggle multiple workstreams and competing priorities effectively.
Essential Knowledge
- Deep understanding of the Health Information Act and its implications on healthcare projects.
- Familiarity with healthcare information governance, data privacy, patient confidentiality, and regulatory requirements.
- Desirable experience with electronic health records (EHR/EPR), clinical systems, digital health technologies, and healthcare data systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in delivering digital transformation initiatives in healthcare.
- Knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards and clinical information technologies.
- Experience working within public sector healthcare organizations.
- Possession of PRINCE2 Practitioner, PMP, Agile, or equivalent project management certifications.
