Job description
Role Overview
This role is focused on implementing and rolling out application software, supporting internal users, and providing training while keeping systems compliant with regulations and protected with strong data security practices. The position also involves analyzing operational data for insights, tracking application performance, protecting patient privacy, and ensuring IT solutions fit clinical requirements to help improve healthcare delivery.
Key Accountabilities
- Assist with building new applications or tailoring existing solutions to suit business needs for the assigned systems, with an emphasis on retail-related operations.
- Provide second-line support for the designated applications, resolving bugs and system issues within agreed service levels so internal users can continue working smoothly.
- Review user needs carefully and help design solutions that simplify workflows, support patient care, and improve day-to-day efficiency.
- Support the deployment of new software or significant upgrades on the assigned applications, ensuring business continuity and compatibility with current systems.
- Use IT data for reporting and analysis to identify opportunities for improvement and highlight operational inefficiencies.
- Work with external vendors that support specialized applications to ensure the tools continue to meet user requirements.
- Monitor application health and performance on an ongoing basis, especially in a fast-moving retail setting, and flag areas that need enhancement.
- Ensure all applications handle patient information responsibly, following strict confidentiality and data protection standards.
- Keep up with new developments in IT and pharmacy technology, including telepharmacy, mobile health applications, and AI-based solutions.
- Coordinate with pharmacists, healthcare professionals, and insurance partners to make sure technology solutions support business objectives and healthcare delivery.

Education
- BSc in IT, preferably with a focus on MIS Systems Design, or a closely related field.
Experience
- At least 3 years of experience in IT applications, preferably in retail or a similar industry.
Technical Skills
- Working knowledge of store applications and broader retail systems.
- Programming exposure in one or more of the following: SQL, Java, Python, or .NET.
- Familiarity with databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL.
- Understanding of the software development life cycle.
- Exposure to enterprise platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or Salesforce.
- Experience using business intelligence tools like Tableau or Power BI.
- Basic understanding of operating systems including Windows and Linux.
